While I am an employee of eBay Inc, the opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer.

A few things about my personal life:

In my leisure time I have run a couple of marathons (San Francisco and Napa) finishing sub 4 hours (3:45 my best time). I’ve also run several trail runs. Beside running, I like dirt bike riding and I participate to adventure rides. From time to time, I love to take my street bike to the track. I love kite surfing and snowboarding: during the snow season I enjoy Tahoe, in summer I kite surf in the Bay.

I balance this apparently irrational side that makes me run hilly marathons, or ride in the desert on my dirt bike with a compass and a map, with more “safe” hobbies. For example, I’m an opera lover and a patron of the San Francisco Opera House. I also love reading, especially Italian and North American literature, and contemporary British plays. I love cuisine and I’m a fairly good cook myself. My signature dishes are “ravioli alla mugellana” (yes, I make ravioli from scratch) and an exceptional tiramisù (based on the original recipe by Pellegrino Artusi).

Feel free to challenge me, disagree with me, or tell me I’m completely nuts in the comments section of each blog entry, but I reserve the right to delete any comment for any reason whatsoever (abusive, profane, rude, or anonymous comments) – so keep it polite, please.
